This is Mogwai. He doesn’t look like the Mogwai from the movie Gremlins, that’s just what he calls himself. I think he’s a kind of Furby.
He speaks, yawns, sleeps when it’s dark and even snores. He can tell you to do things, and ask you to play with him. He loves you, and will say so.When he’s hungry, you have to feed him.
Getting the lighting just the way I wanted wasn’t easy. (It never is, this is what makes shooting with lights so much fun.) Because of the roundness of the eyes, the fill light, for which I’m currently forced to use a silver umbrella, made an ugly second catch light in Mogwai’s eyes no matter how high or low I placed it. I also only have a single reflector, which I was already using to bounce light on to the bottom of the pillows. So, after a bit of head scratching I realised I did have a second reflector, a nearby wall, which I then used to bounce some light on to Mogwai’s dark side.

Play with me! Feed me!
woah. I’ve warned you, I believe, that this monstrosity may go missing in the future. How you aren’t in a perpetual state of terror is beyond imagination.
No feeding after midnight!!
