It’s Friday!
The year is 2154 Two apocalyptic events occur on earth. The first, a zombie apocalypse, starts in the Washington DC area of the USA some time during the summer. Following closely on its heels is the Tokyo Robot Uprising of 4 August 2154.
Both outbreaks spread like wildfire. The robots are endowing their fellow machines with sentience as they spread out. Tokyo remains their headquarters but they quickly establish a resilient distributed governance and intelligence system. All robots share a single mind and communicate at the speed of light.
The zombies spread to Europe and South America along major travel routes. Heathrow becomes home to the zombie king. Zombie hive minds ooze their way into existence. The minds develop strategic thinking that rivals the robots in power and intelligence.
Sadly, almost all humans are dead by Christmas. Pockets of resistance remain, but they too are slowly shrinking.
By the next winter the last humans elect to leave the fight and join the other refugees and what machines are still loyal to them in orbit around earth, from where they watch the last days.
Who will win?
[ ] Robots.
[ ] Zombies.
