The radio in the pit below played, softly, the feint music of the stars. They call it static, it’s anything but. It hisses and spits, it even crackles. If you turn the dial it squeaks at you, sometimes just for a moment and sometimes… like a siren from space.
Quite something to find in the middle of the desert.
A little bit of desert goes a long way.
